I choose to Pen this down after seeing the whole rape saga of a 10 years old school girl.


When I see people campaign after election I wonder what they intend to achieve.


Count your teeth with your tongue.


I have said this time and time again don't interchange parental role with teacher's role


I'm a tutor and I know key roles of teachers as well.

My dear they are two different tasks.


Ask yourself how long does a child spend in school and how long does he/she stay at home? With exemption for those in boarding school.


How am I sure you ain't sending your kids to boarding so as to relieve you of your parental responsibilities


Please don't have kids you know you don't have capacity to raise better go and learn how to raise good kids


When we tell single sisters/brothers to read books for marriage they think it should be for marriage alone, where's the place of parenting. Get books on good parenting


As much as you prepare for marriage, prepare also for parenting, don't buzz yourself with the phrase ' when we get to the bridge we will cross it ' cross it now 


If your parents failed in their parenting styles, ask yourself do you wanna pass this same mantle to your children by not taking up responsibilities??


Sending them to good schools isn't a bad idea.

Ask yourself what have you taught them that they can relay on when you are not with them.


It is what you teach them that will help them give in or say no to peer pressure.


What's your child's moral guage? What value have you inculcated in them.


Often time than none you pray your kids not to get mingled with bad kids, I hope your kid is not the bad kid?


My candid advice for parents and would be parent.



1. Plan:  Just like you plan your wedding, life after marriage, your finances etc please don't forget to plan how to raise godly kids. I can't over flog this aspect in parenting it's a key factor


2. Seek Help : Read books on parenting before marriage and even in marriage, seek counsel from older people with good grown up kids and asked how they navigated through every stages of their kids life.


3. Good communication : This will go along way, your kids should be free to speak with you, don't be too busy for them, today is work, tomorrow is meeting you just keep piling up excuses. Sometimes take them on a drive they get to speak to you, avoid shooving their thoughts aside.


4. Self Esteem : Help your kids build a healthy self worth, it should not be you who's telling them how big their head is or how they failed in a math test Noooo don't kill their self esteem with what you say to them. Tell them beautiful things and always stand up for them.


5. Introduce God to them early this will save you a lot of stress, pray for them and teach them how to pray, teach them love, forgiveness, kindness, patience, moral values, respect for people's opinion/life/ properties and teach them humility. 

Remember they learn what you do.
